Forming part of the British Columbia Farm Industry Review Board (“BCFIRB”) June 3, 2022, decision, the BC Broiler Hatching Egg Commission (“Commission”) is to give one production period implementation notice to the BC Chicken Marketing Board (“BCCMB”), stakeholders, and BCFIRB; and follow the graduated process established in its March 4, 2022 submission.
To that end, the Board reviewed updated analyses prepared by staff within the Implementation Plan, in conjunction with stakeholder correspondence received in response to the initial June 23, 2022, draft. At its special meeting of August 25, 2022, the Board approved the implementation for period A179 commencing October 23, 2022. On December 22, 2021, the BC Broiler Hatching Egg Commission (the Commission) issued its Hatchery Criteria Amending Order Decision to all BC Hatching Egg Stakeholders. Within that decision is a delayed effective date of December 31, 2022.
